Some of my clients would like to have their customer management system extended. They want to look up scanned documents that are related to customer data. My approach is to store the path to the scanned docs in a table.
But how can I prevent users from changing/deleting these files/paths (the app must run with Win95, 98, NT, 2000)?
Is this the right approach at all or should the scanned docs rather be stored in a table? (I have seen a professional doc man
system presentation where they said the docs are stored in an Outlook .pst file without user access?!)

Any suggestions appreciated...
