>Not sure if it was something I was doing wrong, or that IE5 doesn't care about this content type...

Thanks for trying it out, I am scraping stuff together for a client visit tomorrow, and I haven't had a chance to.

Nothing that you said sounded wrong to me, I am guessing its one of three things:

1) Like you said IE5 doesn't support this, and so its only a Netscape thing (I don't know offhand)

2) The concept of non-parsed headers is mentioned in the Gundarvaram book. This is when using NCSA-based (now better known as Apache) servers, where you name the script with a nph- prefix, thus telling the server that your script will generate all of its own headers. I don't know if you can do this via ASP or not, but this may be the problem.

3) If you were using IIS or PWS, it may not recognize the MIME type. The browser might be fine, but if the Server strips out the header, or doesn't recognize the boundary string, then it would be a no go I would guess.

Oh well, like I said I had looked at that a long time ago. I don't even know if it *is* still supported by anyone.

Would've been cool if it did.

Bill
