Frank, if you have either VFP5 or vFP3 available there is a utility ImagEdit.EXE which came with both. Load your BMP, click COPY. Open a new ICO file and PASTE the copied BMP. You'll need to experiment with the defaults that popup to get just the right version. I've done it for several clients, and it only takes minutes.
