I am not sure if this is what you are asking but in a grid if you set the grid.recordsource = '' then perform your cursor manipulation then restore your grid.recordsource = Alias. The grid will respond with the updated information. This procedure is also what will keep a grid from reverting to baseclass controls and also keep it from becoming blank when the data is manipulated programmatically and not through the grid.
