Got it thanks i am used to programming SQL stuff in PHP and i normaly send a query and get a result set within an array and then i can pump through that or send a update query and just get back weather it went or not so the way vfp does things is a little different I have use VB over top of SQL and that seems to work well but its mostly to call a crystal report and so on.
