It could be the transaction log is slowing things down....also, try DELETE based on the clustered index tag.

>That will help me in the future but my frustration remains the same that it just seems like MSSQL server is a lot slower then any other SQL server systems i have used this same delete query would have been instanious on any other system i have used bit frustrated
