>>naaaa... I've been in the passenger seat (matching 5 pt harnesses... you gotta love it!) when the car was doing 98, and my run really didnt feel like it was near that high because of the missing shake that shows up after 90 mph. But then again I was soooo wired at making my first track pass maybe I just didnt feel it.

No not really. Timeslip didnt really mean diddly this weekend. The hubby already got enough timeslip passes to know where we need to beef it up to get in low 12's... the point was to settle an argument on "who would be better on the tree" (tree=starting lights for those non-motorsport types). Drag boat racing is a rolling start, much harder & more risk & I was never very good at it. I lost the argument, Richie was right - I blew his 1+ second reaction times away, and damn near cut a perfect light on the first try (missed it by .01) without even knowing what the heck to do once I got down the track :) IOW - I think I'm natural, atleast thats what a few folks working the track said.

Ya know < smirk > this might not be good for business if (errr... when) I get hooked.
