Hi Chris,

I have a program that interfaces with quickbooks.

Your best bet is to use the .iif format (straight ascii).

You'll be able to export/import most of your data from quickbooks. The only exception are the receivables, which I think you can import into qbooks but not export (gee, I wonder why).

There is also a company that makes an ole server that does read ANYTHING from a quickbooks file (doesn't write though).

AFAIK, qbooks isn't an ole server, so the only way I've thought of automating anything would be by feeding keystrokes to it, but haven't even thought about how to do this yet. If anyone can shed some light on this, by all means, speak up!
