Everybody knows that golf is truely a gentlemen's sport. Game of honor and integrity, the only sport where participants have enough honesty to call their own fouls (has happened many times on the PGA tour).

When was the last time you saw pro-athlete stop play to call his own foul or mistake during a football game or basketball game or baseball game etc...?

Softball, though enjoyed by all, including myself, is a sport for beer bellied sweat hogs who would do anything to win including lie (I/she/he was safe, even though it's obvious I/he/she was out).
