UGH...frustrating...I remembered it was you who started that thread...I'd never used the CREATE FORM ... AS ... FROM command before and I couldn't get it to work...(even typing the whole command) - the default form class was being used. I had to CLEAR the template class reference out totally (from Tools, Options) before I could create any other kind of form. Thanks for the pointers to the two utilities...I downloaded them and THEY didn't work either, while I had a template class refrenced. Funny, guess that's how it works. Whew...now I can proceed. thanks for your response. J
