In particular, how does the print button on the preview toolbar work?

I have called a report using:

report form myreport for something = somethingelse preview noconsole

The preview looks great, and the same command but with "to printer" instead of "preview" also prints out perfectly. But if you click on the 'print' button in the print preview toolbar, it prints the entire table to the printer.

The preview will only have one page of data, but the toolbar 'print' button will print 50 pages.

I need to be able to sync this button with what is in the preview, or disable the blasted thing altogether.

Does anyone know how to do this?
