I would like to hear the pros and cons (pros and pros?) of using an application object in my application. Is it necessary? If my entire application uses a top form and all others are in the top form, I only use one menu and no tool bars, is an application object really necessary? I am having trouble finding good literature that explains the real need. I have built most of the functionality of the program into the startup program and main form, and the only thing I am not sure how to do without an application object is close the main form from the menu. Please give guidance.
