Kevin did not ask when the changed data gets committed to the table. He asked when the object's ControlSource got updated ;-) There IS a difference, here.

If you are using buffering, the value of the field is is updated in the buffer. Whether or not those buffered changes are applied is under programmer control if the data is table buffered. If it is row buffered, VFP will automatically do a TABLEUPDATE() whenever you move the record pointer. No code required.
