With only using keys like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V etc in designer I think it's not doable (I couldn't). OTOH you could temporarily put a commandbuton with code :
ThisForm.myGrid.myColumn.myCombo.SaveAsClass("myDummy.vcx","myDummyCombo")
and save it as a class. Later use the class itself in grid.
