This is a bug in VFP that only occurs under the following circumstances:

- the View Designer is called from a program rather than the Command window or Database Designer
- you create a filter with a logical condition

I've reported it to MS so hopefully they'll fix it in an upcoming version of VFP. In the meantime, edit the view outside of SDT.
