Just out of curiosity, what kind of response are you seeing from the screens? and what kind of volume do y'all do?

>>Anyone have any experience with PeopleSoft and the implementation thereof? They're (the powers that be) are wanting to implement somewhere around 15 modules in the next year - 18 months.

>Yes, I recently had a day of training, and then had it installed. We are now using it for our purchasing processing here. It's quite buggy, and not a very intuitive interface. Ordinarily, one should not need a manual and a day of training with a product like this, but in this case, it's essential.

>The "final release" product is more of an early beta, really. For example, you tab to a textbox item, and start to enter text. Nothing happens, though the cursor blinks. It turns out you have to actually click with the mouse to get the focus set properly (major yuck :) Just trying to set a password is a little ordeal in itself, it's designed quite poorly. The pageframe tabs just disappear into thin air sometimes, and you have to go back to the starting point to get them to re-appear. The captions on the tabs aren't very sensible or useful. I complained about these things, and they indicated the product would be improved in a future version. You know how that may go, though, don't hold your breath too long waiting.

>Two positive things to say about it: 1) It does automate the purchasing process, better than our old paper system, at least. 2) It makes my own applications look even better in contrast to it :)

>I did not do the implementation work, however, can't speak from that side. We actually hired Peoplesoft personnel to do all that, and handle on-site Tech Support for a while. Cost a small fortune, no doubt.
