I deliberately didn't write any unit tests for it *s*, I think it was an implicit rebellion on my part in this same spirit.

Would functional testing of such a thing include testing that the 'how to' is accurate!?

And regression testing is a paradox--you *don't* want the result to be the same as for older versions :)

But OTOH, you could then write a meta-readme.txt that instructs you to call the readme method!
