My advice to you is to get a travel agent to do it for you.

I've spent COUNTLESS hours in the past looking for online reservations of all kinds, not to mention the NIGHTMARE that using ariline miles can be.

This time, after spending a few hours we decided to call a travel agent and give it a shot.

Within half an hour we had an excellent airfare and the hotel prices were about 3% higher (from $1400 to about $1450).

And unlike those $#*($# internet rates, the hotel rate we're getting is guaranteed. Last time I traveled I booked hotel through the web (days inn) and at the hotel the rates were completely different - I decided not to spend an hour on the phone with some idiot straightening it out (it was about $50 more alltogether), but wasn't too happy about it either.

Better spend those hours doing billable work. That's what I'm doing from now on. Screw amex rewards, screw online reservations!!!! Viva la libertad!
