>im relatively new to visual basic, and as a beginning project i wrote a small program that allows me to keep track of a orders at my workplace, thus saving me a little time. I now would like to add the capability of printing these orders, but am unaware of how to send information to the printer, i have messed around with the printers method, but all i have to go on is visual basics help files and they are well...pretty basic. Could anyone possibly show me some sample code that would take a text string and send it to the default printer??? if not, then at least point me in the direction of an on-line site that can give me some more details on how to do it??? Thanks in advance for any help.

The printer object is not the easiest tool around!

If you don't want to invest in a 3-party report builder, look at the 2 tools that come with VB: DataReport and CrystalReport.

DataReport is still full of bug.
