Because not all web sites are created equal *s*.

Your web app was created (I'm assuming) with Web Connect. You may have some things in the app that require a newer version of the support files that come with a later version of the browser. UniverslaThread.com is designed to accomodate mulitple browsers and as such, the pages work on the lowest common denominator. Web Connect has features that work on all browsers, and it has features that work on IE only (e.g DHTML form rendering because it is VBScript centric). It also has features that only work with IE 5 (e.g. XML stuff unless you install an XML Parser).

That's why I wanted you to check to see if a very simple file worked. If it didn't then the problem is the connectivity to the server and not the browser version. if the simple file doesn't work, check the rights to the folder where mywebapp is installed. You must give rights to the IUSR_machinename account or just give it to the group Everyone (if you don't care about security).

>>There may be a problem with your version of IE and the web page you are trying to access. I think I read on another post you are using IE 4.X. Do you have SP1? Unfortunately, I don't know if the SP is available from MS because the last time I checked on it, I ended up with IE5 (not a bad thing really, but not what I was expecting).
