AOL has nationwide access, but they aren't too good (busy signals sometimes).
Others I can think of are Earthlink and Concentric. I think they're pretty good.
I would rule out AT&T because they're a pain in the EOF() if you mistype your password more than a few times. They'll lock your account and it's not a 123 thing to get it back in action.
Then you could try looking for sponsored access. I believe juno.com has it and there's another company (zero force or something like that) that will give you free access provided you're willing to look at ads.
