Is there a way to format a field easily . Say I want to accept only twenty characters, what I have done in the past is put xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx into the format field.

Looking back on it subsequently, it is quite difficult to count the number of x's . Is there a way of saying something like X(20)
