That sounds strange. I am woking on Active-X controls in VFP for auto parts. The PB/SyBase system is killer in speed. We purchased a port of it for use in VFP. My data return time is terrible as compared to their's.

They have all manufacutrers of autoparts in North America, and some from SA. When you qualify a vehicle (year, make, model, and engine) and ask for any part it's really fast, just a keypress away. For my system in VFP it takes about a half to a ful second.
