No arguments with MS leaving a previous default. They have always tried to allow for smooth upgrades from one version to another, and most of the time they're right. My complaint is with their original choice to have the default unchecked. My system has always been 'cursors for non-update data and views for data that is updated'. And I can't tell you how many times I've left that box unchecked. Or, more often, forgotten to add the property when doing a view in code.
