I agree that this test isn't the best test i've ever seen, but personally I think that this CAN be a first step to do tests over the internet without the trouble of getting to the examn location, be very nervous, screw your test, get home, wait about 3 weeks, and have a very bad day. I've never done a MS certified test, because the $ it takes as well the trouble to get the test.
O.K. we agree it isn't perfect, but too me it is a first step in the right direction. I'd expect to see more of it in the next future. For example if I get an employee who claims to be know VFP pretty well, I can put him behind a computer and do the test over the internet. As the TOP scores list I don't think much of it, you can redo the test or can use all the help you need (Actually i've seen you do the test at least twice).
I deeply believe in this new concept of testing people and maintaining a big database with a bunch of developers. That it is not perfect (yet) IMO isn't an argument to dismiss it as useless.
