Jim, I've tried that and it doesn't do what I want.
You see, if I say = '01' it will not find anything, cause the field is 7 digits long, therefore, saying '01' will find nothing; there is no such a thing.
All the '01' are followed by more digits, like '01033', '012', '0123456' and all the combinations you can imagine. In other cases, it can be '02', '03','041', 0300'. This firsts digits are the one I'm interested when I'm SELECTing.
Don't forget, this is in a combo box and there are values of 2 or 3 digits, so I cannot use RTIM or PADR. To use that I would need to know beforehand how many spaces I have to trim before sending my SELECT.
