The Office document could be printed directly from anything capable of using a VFP COM Object through the same automation techniques you'd use in VFP if you use the object model, and ShellExecute() could be fired directly as well in all probability...why bother adding a VFP component, since you still need Office installed to use automation?

>>>It's all about Internet. My Web apps. uses Foxisapi and Fox DLL. This apps. is for PP presantations. User enters some data and then can get a document. One of the ways to deliver a doc. over the Internet, you know, is a PDF file. That's what 'print' comes from. Works with EXE.

>>Well, the automation server would be implemented out of process from the DLL; I have no idea on what issues that'll pose to FoxISAPI, but the DLL itself would not be exposing UI elements.

The automation server has UI elements, but they aren't visible. A VFP in-process server cannot contain any UI elements. As I said, the automation engine runs out of process. You're on your own here; I haven't tried it.
