(Although, I surely could be wrong <g>) If you are using Table buffering and want to be certain that all updates are applied, why wouldn't you wrap the TableUpdate in a transaction? The way I understand it, a TableUpdate could apply only some of the updates if not wrapped. Or am I way off base here?
If there is only one tableupdate being issued, as Pablo mentions, then, no, I don't see what benefit a transaction gives. What benefit do you see?
