From the VFP help,
When working in a team development environment, developers don't share the same project files (.pjx and .pjt files). Instead, developers maintain their own local copies of the .pjx and .pjt files.Every developer needs their own copy of the project file. However, there is only one copy of the code, forms and reports. This is what is stored in VSS. You can integrate VSS directly with the VFP Project Manager but I don't recommend it. Just use the VSS client to Check In/Out the files you need. Through my own experimentations and seeing others experiences here, it is very slow, especially over a slow network or WAN.
