I've recently moved my Visual Studio from a Win98 environment to a Win2000 environment. I'm using InstallShield Express for my current project. Others in the company are developing in a Win95 environment. My question is which dll's can we safely use on all of the current widely used platforms?

I know that the VFP 6.0 runtimes dll's (sp3) will be the same regardless of platform. However, Mfc40.dll, & Mfc42.dll are others "system" files that I'm currently installing. The 3rd party communication tool has an MFC42.dll in it's installed directory and I'm putting an older version in the System32 (or which ever folder is appropriate for the environment in use).

Any guidance?
