If it were only so easy, as I'm well aware of thought-out field AND variable names.

My problem occured, as I mentioned previously, when I imported an Excel spreadsheet. VFP imports each row as a record, calling each table field 'A' to how ever many columns are in the sheet, using the naming convention 'A'..'Z' then to 'AB', etc. So if my sheet had 28 columns, my imported table would have 28 fields called 'A' to 'AC', I think, 'AC' being the 28 field.

So I had no control of the naming of the fields when the sheet is imported.

Anyway, I think this subject has exhausted itself.
