When you go to a data dictionary item from within a Request many of the normal options are disabled on purpose. The idea to let you look at many of the characteristics of an item for reference purposes. Only a few of these characteristics are enabled for editing directory from with a Request.

Let's change the title of this thread and not call things bugs before there bugs <g>.
