   ? SQLEXEC(h,'SELECT * FROM "Sheet1$" Sheet1_') && make the queary

And it actually worked!
BTW, the kb article is http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q131/5/80.asp and is about getting the wrong data types.
