Thanks for the pointer Jason. I thought I had searched help thoroughly for that but obviously not.

The code worked fine on the ComboBox and it made me think about another ongoing problem I have been having with a CommandButton.

On the Click Event the button sets focus to a TextBox . This works fine everytime when you actually click on the button, use a shortcut key or hit space when the focus is set BUT if you hit return it shifts focus throught the TextBox and onto the next TextBox along. I have tried stepping through and can't see any code which makes the focus jump again. I thought It may be the keyboard buffer excuting the RETURN on the first TextBox but now I'm not sure (SPACE doesn't have the same effect).

I tried detecting the RETURN on KeyPress and putting NODEFAULT on the Click Event but this hasn't improved the situation. I had actually given up on this problem a few weeks ago but your solution to my latest problem has inspired me again!

I have put this question forward on the forum before but with no success (so far)

If anyone else out there can help I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks
