Novell KBMike,
I hate to come down on the side opposite of Ed, but I'm afraid I must. Consider the following:
1. This problem didn't manifest itself until Novell 4.x/Client 32.
2. AFAIK, it doesn't occur under NT.
3. I haven't seen it occur on machines not running Client 32.
4. This only occurs
after the machine has been running for sometime and occurs sporadically.
This last point, I think, is the most significant. If this were purely an FPW problem, then why doesn't it occur when FPW is started as the first application? It seems to me that something is messing with the environment prior to FPW being started. What it is, I don't know. However, I think it's irresponsible for Novell to dump this in FPW's lap like this. This last fact seem to contradict the premise that it is purely a Fox problem.
One last point, there's no entry in the MS KB on this problem. I would think that, by this time, if this were purely a FPW problem, that you'd be able to find some entry there.
Just my take.
George
