Sorry to take so long to respond back, but I had found the cause of my problem and didn't check for any UT replies.

It seems to have been in the framework. In Mere Mortals, the environment is set-up to attempt a lock for only one second (SET REPROCESS TO 1). So I enhanced my processes to first save the reprocess setting, next set it to AUTOMATIC, then process the data, and finally restore reprocess setting.
