So are you doing an add "Local" printer, and setting it up to use LPT1?
The reason I ask is because I have never set up a network printer to use an LPT port accept with the NET USE command.
I have a Network printer set up in WinNT4.0, I than issue a
NET USE LPT1 \\MyServer1\printer1. This lets me print out of a DOS App that uses LPT1 for printing and its still mapped to the server via the servers port(does that make since?). If you type "NET USE" at the C:\>[Prompt] it should tell you all your current mappings.
Thanks
