I think you know where I stand on this.< g > I've been under the impression (mistakenly perhaps) that VFP's use of "painted" controls was for Mac compatibility. However, since this is no longer an issue perhaps this will be changed.
I will, however, agree that I don't thing that performance would be an issue. In fact, there are some other things (smaller footprint for one perhaps?) that might be gained.
