ESRI MapObjects is nice IMHO. When I got their first evaluation version there were no VFP samples but it was easy to convert VB, Delphi samples. AFAIK there is still a 30 days evaluation version. Full version is expensive but it has a lite version too which I never used. Within the mapobjects there is a ChartRenderer object which I think meets your requirement about sales analysis (as well as ClassBreakRenderer, ValueMapRenderer etc objects). Setting points, polygons etc or directly changing color for client countries are easier. Apart from .shp files it uses native dBaseIII format for data tables :)
