>>This is not exactly a Foxpro issue but what is the best way to enable remote users to access a VFP app?
>>Currently my company runs a DOS app under Novell and use PCAnywhere for DOS for remote control but will be converting to NT Server 4.0 and VFP converted app. My budget won't allow for upgrade of all the remote control machines in order to support the remote users. Can anybody share his/her experiences in any similar situation. How about use of RAS feature of NT Server? Performance issues? Anything?

For those who cannot access via the web we distributed our apps via CD. Once the apps are loaded locally then the user then only need to request table updates periodically.

I'm also interested in the WWW solution. It seems to be the wave of the future.
However, can you provide me with some more details such as:
1. How do you secure the app/data access? Some form of Intranet and/or firewall? Our company doesn't want outside access to our data.
2. How is field validation performed? I would guess all validation would be performed at one time when entries are finished.
3. How hard is it to setup?
It's "my" world. You're just living in it.
