I'd be willing to bet that a lot of bloat is there. The trick is which to keep and which to get rid of and what kinds of troubles would be caused by making the change?

It's essentially a business decision. How would these changes reduce the desireability of the product for example.

Personally, if you're going to remove some of the older commands take them ALL out and make that part of the product available as a COM+ object. Can you imagine some large corporation hosting a few Visual FocPro COM+ servers? <g>
