I am trying to create a local view consisting of fields from two remote views (CUST and NAMEPLAT). These two remote views are two DOS FOXPRO tables that reside in two separate folders on my network. I do not want to have to move these two tables into the same folder. That's why I had to create two separate remote views.
I am writing a VFP interface to pull data selectively from these and several other tables without disturbing anyone on the network. I will have to create parameterized views, as some of these tables have well over 200,000 records. I will want the user to be able to specify a Customer ID or maybe a Date Range when they elect to run this view. I parameterized the two base views in order to work on the local view, however once my new local view is created I can't change the parameter.
Do I want a local view? Do I want a Remote view combining these two remote views? But that doesn't make sense to me.
Advice is appreciated very MUCH.
Thank You
