I don't know that any *one book* can serve enough purposes to cover individual commands, properties, etc., as HG does, and also teach the development process end to end. For what you mentioned above, I'd say the Booth/Sawyer, Egger, and Strahl, and maybe Hentzen's two books (all from Hentzenwerke) might do the job. Peterson/Talmadge's would cover some of the same ground and has word "Enterprise" in the title, so might fill in more (I haven't read it).

That's 5 or 6 books instead of a book. :-)
