I am looking for fonts that have the following characteristics:

1) Non-proportional
2) Readable and attractive
3) Widely scalable. Probably TrueType.
4) Commonly available among users, or else how do I embed font in app.

So far I am using FixedSys/Normal but it only has two sizes.

A plus would be if it showed strings from FPD properly, particularly accented characters. Maybe I need to get into codepages here. If so, would appreciate info on that also.
