This is not true. You were given wrong information by someone which might not have been involved in the Microsoft MVP program.

I would suggest you sent an email to Hong Tan at hongt_ms@msn.com. He will confirm you that the Universal Thread is officially recognized by Microsoft for the MVP program. BTW, can you forward me the contact which gave you this information?

Don't worry, we are really recognized. Otherwise, I wouldn't have got the rights to put the Microsoft MVP on the main page. :)
