In his zeal to have a basis to insult, Mr. Rauh left the distinct impression (at least with me) that RAM that is not cached is useless RAM.
That, of course, would be an incorrect conclusion. RAM still beats HD access and I/O by orders of magnitude. So as long as RAM can be deployed to meaningfully avoid HD I/O, the more RAM the better, up to the limit supported by the hardware.
