I run a firewall and recently 'watched' someone load 2 files and make references to them in my Start folder. This particular machine is a Win 95 box. The files are:
Network.Exe
Network.Vbs
After laughing at the attempt, I moved the files to another area and opened (for editing) the Network.Vbs file. I'm not a VB guy, primarily work with VFP. But I did figure out that the script creates a Z: drive share of my C: drive (using the FileSystemObject) then does some stuff to it. Anyone interested in looking at the Vbs file, let me know and I'll email it to you. I'd be interested in hearing what the script does exactly. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, it appears the script kiddie who performed this was smart enough to spoof his IP so I couldn't track him down.
