Could be some other directory-related issues. What I have a heck of a time with in the code is the relative paths for bitmaps and data. VFP recognizes things like ..\..\data\mydata.dbc. Word does not. So there is some conversion going on and, sometimes, that conversion does not work out :-)

I used the ADDBS() function on the value of SaveFolder to standardize the folder name and I can't understand how CURDIR() would return two different values between NT4 and 2000. Weird.

>I tried your oF2W.SaveFolder=SYS(5) + SYS(2003) and it works fine. And, yes, it does take a while. The report I am using has about 6 pages, but very sparse information (a boxed set of about 6 fields for each record in the recordser). It took about 3 minutes. The one at the other location was taking about ten mins...that is before it crashed with what I (now) believe to be the CURDIR() error. I guess the message for the time being is to use either a literal string or your system functions. I am also curious to see if the OS is a factor. I'll do that when I get to my first location...maybe today but for sure on Monday.
