I created an application, created a network install using VFP native setup wizard, specified a post install executable written in VFP.
I ran the install on another machine. While installing, during the post executable, I clicked on the MS windows explorer in the back ground.
The install froze up, I had to cancel, delete installed files, and run install again. The next time I did a fresh install, I didn't click on the windows explorer and the post install executable worked fine.
In the post install executable, I take an existing table and append to it. I then print some stats to the screen using the ? command, however during the execution of the install program, the screen is not present.
My question is, did the freeze up occur because the post executable tried to write the stats to the screen, but the screen was the Windows Explorer and it blowed up?
Thanks.
