I just do the DECLARE in the Init() of the object so it's available when the methods are called. You could use a Singleton pattern and have it maintain a list of declared functions.

David,
Problem is that I just code part of forms which would be called from other startups. If I had a chance to interfere with startup routine would put it there. I put it in init of a custom class which is part of forms I build. Practically I don't know how many times it could be called and those forms are vital (likely to be called most). OTOH I don't think to bend it more and would probably ask to put declaration in main.
